Overview
This 6-day itinerary in Hokkaido, Japan takes you on a journey to explore the stunning natural beauty and unique cultural experiences of the region. You’ll start by visiting Lake Toya, followed by a trip to Noboribetsu NIXE Marine Park, where you can get up close and personal with penguins and sea lions. In Hakodate, you’ll visit Onuma National Park and Mt. Showa Shinzan, as well as the Bear Park, where you’ll learn about the study of bears. You’ll also get to see the picturesque Otaru Canal and enjoy a free gift at the Silver Bell Café, before heading to Sapporo to visit the famous Shiroi Koibito Park and Mitsui Outlet for some shopping.

Upon arrival in Tokyo, you will take a connecting flight to Hokkaido. Upon arrival at Hokkaido Airport, your local guide will meet you and transfer you to the city. The first destination is Lake Shikotsu National Park, known for its impressive depth of 360 meters and crystal-clear water, holding the record for the best water quality in Japan. The caldera lake was formed by volcanic eruptions approximately 40,000 years ago. Check in to the hotel and enjoy an overnight stay in Hokkaido.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will visit the Noboribetsu NIXE Marine Park, which features North European and Romanian fairy-style architecture. This famous theme park offers a chance to see penguins and sea lions up close and personal. Next, visit the Konbukan (Seaweed Museum), which utilizes some of the latest technology to showcase the use of kelp. The museum also offers a range of kelp products, including dried kelp, kelp sweets, and jellies. Afterwards, visit the European-style Goryokaku Park, which features a famous star-shaped garden, and the Motomachi Port, which was the first port in Japan to be open to the world and features European-style church buildings. In the evening, take a cable car to enjoy the Hakodate Million Night Scene, one of the top three famous night scenes in the world. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Hakodate.

After breakfast at the hotel, head to Hakodate Fish Market, which is open daily from 5 am (6 am during winter) to noon, and is located just a few steps away from JR Hakodate Station. Next, pass by Onuma National Park, which is associated with 126 islands and lakes surrounded by volcanoes and is selected as one of the best three new tourist spots in Japan. Visit Mt. Showa Shinzan, an interesting landform that was raised from farmland after two years of volcanic activities. Included in the itinerary is Bear Park, a zoo specialising in bears, which opened for study in 1958 in Noboribetsu Onsen-cho, Noboribetsu City. The park also features a brown bear museum and Ainu living museum. Overnight in Hakodate.

After having breakfast at the hotel, we will head to Otaru Canal and the Silver Bell Café where you can enjoy a complimentary coffee served in a Hello Kitty cup. Otaru Canal, once the economic hub of Hokkaido, is a stunning commercial city that showcases beautiful gaslights and stone warehouses. We will also visit the Glass Factory and the Music Box Museum, famous for its intricate music boxes. Afterwards, we will enjoy shopping at Tanukikoji Shopping Street. Later in the day, we will explore Sapporo's entertainment district, Susukino-Hanakoji-Ramen Yokocho Shopping Mall, the largest in the north of Tokyo with about five thousand restaurants and entertainment facilities. Overnight in Sapporo.

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, start the day by passing through Odori Park, which features fountains, flower gardens, and trees that create a pleasant atmosphere for relaxation. Then, continue on to the Big Clock Building, the first American-style government building. The next destination is the Shiroi Koibito Park and White Chocolate Factory, where visitors can explore a fantastic space based on the themes of deliciousness, fun, and stories of sweets from a bygone era. The park is home to the Shiroi Koibito Factory, where the famous Hokkaido confectionery is produced, and also features a cafe where visitors can taste Ishiya’s original sweets, the Cookiecraft Studio, a toy exhibition room, and the Rose Garden. Afterwards, go shopping at Mitsui Outlet, where visitors can enjoy shopping regardless of the season or weather, with a 650-seat food court and a variety of local vegetables and unique handicrafts available for purchase. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Sapporo.
After a delightful breakfast, the day will be at your leisure for any last-minute exploration or relaxation. Take the time to indulge in any remaining sights, sounds, and flavors of Japan that have yet to be experienced. Later, transfer to the airport for your flight back home to UAE.
